are you supposed to handle it from both sides? you'll get your hands dirty and I hate it. shit tool
and what's that end, presumably 4 parallel blades to slice it? they can't be blades because they're obviously not, so then what? a scoop? no, because it would fall through the holes. so then it has to be some sort of masher to make guac.
so it's a plastic knife on one end, a masher on the other? fucking why?

You clearly handle it in the middle. aka “the handle”.
The serrated bit slices the avocado skin. The spoon bit next to the serration scoops the pit and the flesh. The mashy end mashes.
Are you just memeing or can you seriously not tell these functions from visual inspection combined with having been told it’s for guacamole?

>> No.16690737

didn't see the scoop part of the plastic end
i still don't get why.
if you want to make guac, you're going to be using a chef's knife to cut the other ingredients anyway. a spoon to scoop and serve. I guess the fork is the one extra thing you'd have to wash if you want to mash the avocado but you'll use it to eat anyway.
and then take into account that a plastic knife is worse than a non-plastic knife, a flimsy mashing instrument is worse than a fork, and I'm just confused and angry. it looks uncomfortable to boot
I can stomach those ripcord onion dicers because they can do things a knife can't, but this thing doesn't do anything unique. it's 3 separate tools that you'll end up using anyway put into one cheap looking, uncomfortable tool
but hey man if you enjoy it that's good :)

Anyone using a garlic press needs to permanently get the fuck out of the kitchen.

It smashes the garlic, it's makes a mess, it's hard to clean.

If you can't peel and mince your garlic in no time with a chef's knife, you don't belong in the kitchen.

T. dogshit cook

Pressing garlic with the side of the knife doesn't smash the garlic, it just releases it from its skin. Garlic press smashes juices out of garlic.

It makes a mess. Wet garlic peel and garlic stuck all around/on the garlic.

Compared to simple, clean peeling using a knife. No juice leaking, peel comes off in one nice piece.

Same reason you don't want to smash/bruise your herbs, though I doubt you even know what herbs are.

no. mine isnt even wire but small blades, wire would snap very soon, or the welding spots would break off. it basically never cuts fully because the last bit of the shroom stretches. and picking out the bits of shroom with a toothpick is anything but fun or quick, dishwasher doesnt work either.
its fine for cutting pickles and surimi for a salad, but is no time saver because on the board you can stack that shit. the only benefit is uniform size, and even that doesnt fully apply because the end spaces are larger than the usual spacing.

obviously with mushrooms and not eggs, shrooms are far tougher. mine is two years old. after experimenting i found it to be of use for nothing but eggs. and if you dont mind getting your hands dirty you can just hold the egg in your hand and slice it with a small knife, tho there is obviously a little bit of risk in that.

If you're buying a peeler and still manually peeling your garlic you're doubly retarded

It still makes a mess, smashes juices out of the garlic, and is entirely unnecessary.

You want to know how many quality restaurants use garlic presses? 0. Exactly 0 in the entire world. Using a garlic press instead of quickly mincing with a knife gets you thrown in the nearest pizza oven.

These fuckin kids man. "oh i need a Slap Chop (TM) to cut my onions, it's soooo haaaard to dice onion" -- that's you. That's what you are when you use a garlic press.
