Raisin Bran has less added sugar than most of those, but it's better to keep the bran flakes and the raisins separate until just before serving. They have different optimal humidity values for storage.

As a kid, breakfast cereal was something that I ate if I was in a hurry. Otherwise, my mom would actually prepare a proper breakfast. I'm talking eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, and toast. Maybe pancakes or waffles if she was feeling up to it. Sometimes she'd even make Eggs Benedict, which was a real fucking treat.

Honestly, I actually hated the days where I had to eat cereal. Even though I was the one who picked it out, I would still miss having "real" breakfast.
