The Costco Hot Dog is godly. I eat one every month or so and they're the highlight of my visit. They switched the buns recently to worse ones, but they also took it out of foil wrapping so the buns get less soggy, so you win some you lose some

I imagine that's true in general, but costco subsidizes the cost of their cafe items through membership fees, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have special sourcing deals.
1.50 USD was the last I saw for that kind of hotdog in the USA store w/ drink (no longer a member), and that's cheaper than anything but a smaller, generic diner hotdog on it's own.
