Americans have no idea how bad it really is. No one in china knows what the fuck beef and broccoli is or sweet and sour pork. Chinese food is disgusting. Literally the worst parts to eat of any animal. Makes sense because chinks are the race of humans closest to animals. It doesn’t taste “off”, it tastes like natto. Some are less slimy than others, because some people like the slime more than others. There’s about a gorillion different brands for personal preference. Even my local import store in the US stocks about 20 of the more popular brands from Japan.

Natto needs to be mixed at least 50 times.
According to chemical measurements, the umami component of natto is at its best after 400 times.
Also, as you increase the number of times you mix it, the beans start to separate from the juice, and the consistency decreases somewhat.
