Why are burgers like this?

>> No.16660328

>>16660325
This is just how burgers react when grilled in certain ways. I remember cooking burgers on an electric grill and they always had these weird fat lumps, I never understood why.

based on experience it's usually because the meat has a lot of filler and added water to shill you out of your shekels

Frozen burger, being heated on one side forces fat and water to pool . Just flip them sooner.

>> No.16661065

Frozen burgers that have been tanked up with water (broth), water gets cooked out by the heat and carries a lot of loose proteins with it that form a scum on top. Just wipe it off with something.

It doesn't take much to buy ground meat, add some eggs, bread crumbs, season etc
These look like frozen cheapo trash pucks.

thats meatloaf, not a burger

>> No.16664820

No, meatloaf is when it's formed into a big loaf then baked. A burger is when it's formed into discs, cooked then served inside a bread bun.

>Frozen premade patties.
What's the fuckin point then?
You might as well go to any of the likely hundreds of fast food restaurants in your city and get that shit there.
A proper burger needs seasoning, throughout the entire burger, not just on top and bottom of the party.

I can't believe I have to share a board with people like you.

No it doesn't retard, premade burger patties aren't as good as making them fresh but that's not why.

no, a burger is when you cook high fat ground beef with some salt and pepper and that's it, any binders and it's not a proper burger, it's a meatloaf on a bun, you're british aren't you

>YOU HAVE TO PAY TRIPLE THE PRICE TO GET FRESH GROUND MEAT FROM YOUR BUTCHER AND FORM THE PATTIES YOURSELF
Neck yourself. I just want to grill some burgs while downing cheap beer.
You don't need to put maximum effort into every single meal. its ok to be a lazy fuck sometimes.

>YOU HAVE TO PAY TRIPLE THE PRICE TO GET FRESH GROUND MEAT FROM YOUR BUTCHER AND FORM THE PATTIES YOURSELF
I gotta ask where in the world is it more expensive to buy ground meat than a decent premade burger? It's not like making burgers is hard, you take the mince, smush it up, slam the desk real hard and just let 'em go to work.
