Out of the ones I have had. KC all the way. Saying they do burnt ends is true, but underselling it. Everything is great I've had in KC.
I've never even heard of Kentucky have Mutton though. That's interesting and if someone wants to suggest a place or city there where it's good, I will check it out next time I pass through.

Talking about regional style is something only inbreed rednecks brag about. Literally everything BBQ can be made in NYC or LA and it will be superior to anything you backwards yokels could make.

I'm always impressed by how much meat they give you at Arthur Bryants for like ten bucks. So cheap.
Also, in a shit neighborhood that's still sort of friendly. Had a drug dealer wish me a good day when I declined to buy drugs from him. Nice folk there in KC.

Apparently this guy came to Kentucky because lamb was such a bizarre food. Maybe how it's made?
It's something every serious Kentuckian has had at some point or more in their lives though but doesn't think too much on.
Spent my whole life here and I've never even seen a lamb in person that I can remember.

The only other bbq on your map I could settle down with would probably be Kansas. Beef is very difficult to authenticate with barbecue and I sometimes wish I was a munchkin peeping up Dorothy's dress copping feels.
