“Black” music (like everything else in Black-American society) is in fact simply an evolution of Euro-American folk music.

There is no ethnic group on Earth that is more separated from its original culture and assimilated into a new culture then Black-Americans, they literally have zero connection to their African ancestors beyond their DNA (and only 76% at best, with S.Carolina Blacks).
