flavorless. the benefits and purposes for which people order beef steaks rare are all completely irrelevant. That burger as pictured, to me, looks like a BLT with bacon lettuce lettuce lettuce and tomato. A burger's flavor profile is about its savory, rich, maillard-reaction flavor. This is why we have double-hamburgers, to increase the surface-area exposed to the grill per quantity of beef. It's why people "smash" their burgers. OP's burger should be split into two patties at least, and get a proper assortment of toppings. Looks like just unmelted cheddar and raw onions.

In my city there's joints usually in the grittier parts of town selling the "Big Baby", which is two thin-smashed patties with cheese, 'tchup, 'stard, and caramelized onions. I'm sure in the industrial era that was big for 'staurants not to worry about lettuce-and-tomato turnover, and we're an onion capital in many ways here. You should try it, fry em in butter and the patties too, come to think of it.

I did 130F sous vide burger for one hour then pan sear after letting it cool down. Kinda came out medium rare in the middle but visibly cooked, like roast beef. If I ground my own beef I'd go lower/shorter.
