Nice job. Kefir is a great dairy based probiotic. Arguably better than yogurt in terms of health benefits due to the more complex bacterial profile as well as the changes the bacteria make to the milk.

Can I make that in an instant pot

You don't even need an instant pot since it ferments at room temperature.

What this guy said. >>16617583

Basically you mix milk with kefir grains let it sit for a day, strain and add more milk to kefir grains and you get more everyday and the grains continue to grow.

Kefir is really nice straight or if you add some blended fruit like peaches. Just like yogurt. It's more liquidy than yogurt, so most people drink it.

so after it sits for a day... the stuff you strain is what you drink? that seems really simple.

Yep. Most people like 24-48 hours, but you can experiment and find a good time in terms of convenience and taste. Sometimes the kefir will even get slightly carbonated.

These are the kefir grains you buy and they grow as you keep them alive and you can dehydrate them to save for later.
