Depends on the location, the last time I had Subway was probably about 5 years ago and in most cases that was for the road during long trips because Subway is very common in small towns.
Now its mainly bland protein bars to tide me over instead of buying fast food.
If anyone has suggestions for actually decent or great tasting protein bars let me know.

I taught in France for a couple years and the Subway was just as terrible as the ones at home, except this one was right next to a boulangerie that sold baguette sandwiches and there was always a line out the door of the Subway (this was like right down town). As far as I can tell Yuros (and most 3rd worlders) kind of just fetishize American fast food, and it's bizarre.

KFC has been shit for 20 years. It used to be good, but they keep cutting corners and lowering the quality again and again. Now it's inedible

I enjoy KFC if it's made fresh. You can tell if the chicken has been sitting for a while or not. Better to go when it's busy.

However, any fried food destroys my bowels. I will be on the toilet pissing liquid shit out of my ass within an hour of consuming it. My stomach simply can't handle grease these days. It's truly a shame as all the best tasting food is greasy garbage.
