Does salad make a burger good for you?

>> No.16552194

Burgers aren't bad for you in the first place. They are healthier than the crap most people ingest daily. The least healthy item on it is the bun. There is no health detriment to burgers unless eaten to a caloric excess.

>>16552194
fpbp except condiments can be a detriment too, namely mayo

Calories literally don’t matter at all

>> No.16552212

I don't understand what brits mean by salad.

This is an eternal battle of ownership of a language. Each side is convinced their side is better!

>> No.16552217

Mayo is the healthiest condiment as long as it's made with good ingredients and not PUFAs.

>> No.16552219

>>16552217
>not PUFAs
good luck finding that unless you make it yourself

also how is mustard less healthy?

>> No.16552223

>>16552183
Why would eating a salad change the health content of a different food? Does eating a salad make a chocolate bar healthy?

>> No.16552225

>>16552201
Mustard is a pretty good option though and I think it goes really well with beef and cheese. But I think mayo is probably still a little better than ketchup unless you're only concerned about calories.

>>16552212
Lettuce, tomato, onion probably.

some foods have effects that counteract the effects of other foods I guess
>>16552225
yeah calories is the main perspective I was arguing from

>> No.16552235

>>16552219
Nah, fair enough, mustard is good, too. I don't think of it as a burger condiment so I wasn't thinking about that.

>lettuce tomato onion
I am behind it

Wait, is OP calling vegetables on a burger "salad" and not talking about eating a side salad with the burger?

>> No.16552471

>>16552465
Yes. They call the vegetables on a burger salad in Australia and the UK I think.

>> No.16552564

>>16552471
That's confusing. Just putting some lettuce and tomato on something isn't a salad.

this quote pisses me off so fucking much and I don't even eat fast food burgers
between his fucking faggot face and the presumptuousness of "which you will enjoy much more" I just wanna turn his cranium into a bleeding crater

He's right. You're wrong.

It's not a salad but just plain salad. They often serve a handful of lettuce leaves and tomato on the side of many kinds of supper meals. This is good because the body needs fiber, especially if you're consuming high fat and/or refined processed food.
