Love Guinness. First time I had it was at Scholars Lounge in Rome. Tasted amazing, like slightly sweet malty toast. It was my first real pub experience too, since I was under drinking age in the US at the time. Was disappointed when I came back to the US and turned 21 to find out that draft Guinness sold in America is nowhere near as nice as what they sell in Europe.

Guinness is an extremely light stout and better for it, it is sessionable and easy to drink as a result. People believe it is heavy or it'll give you heavy black shits, but honestly, it is more like a mistaken common belief or something as the final gravity is about 1.007 approx 80% attenuation. If you look at the protein, fat, alcohol etc and calories you can calculate it all out. Everybody in ireland can sit and drink it all day because of that reason. It is a good drink, but it isn't a heavy stout.

Wrong, retard. Guinness produces several different versions of its Stout and sends different kinds to different parts of the world. It’s not a secret- Google it. There’s Guinness Draught, which you’re most likely to find on tap in the US, and it’s really not that good and it uses lower quality ingredients. Then there’s Guinness Extra and Guinness Export or Foreign Extra, which you’re more likely to find on tap in Europe.

The Guinness usually sold on tap in Europe is literally a different formula with a different name, which you would have realized if you were semi aware of your surroundings and literate, retard. The white girls with loose cunts are right about Guinness.

I still drink the old Kenny, but to be hones, it's a bit too safe for me. Now that I'm at it, irish stouts too are somewhat too smooth for me, but I still enjoy them since they are cool in their nitrogenated way.

-Helper in the brewery burned the barley.
-Owner got pissed off at him and fired his ass.
-But the owner didn't want to waste the barley, so he used that burnt shit to make a beer with it.
-When beer was ready he decided to sell it at 1/3 of the regular price he usually was selling his beer, just to recover his expenses.
-People loved it, and asked for more.

Dark beers have been around forever and prior to the industrial revolution all beer was brown or darker. Stout was particularly popular in Ireland because the unmalted oats and unmalted roasted barley wasn't taxed like regular malted barley, making it cheaper for the brewer to produce.

The correct distance from barrel to tap doesn't matter at all as long as its not ridiculously long and your regulator is set right. Maintaining a guiness tap also requires no more effort than a regular tap apart from not losing the nozzle baffle. Guiness is not special or unique, it pours and keeps like any other mediocre nitrokeg beer.
