Delicious. Top tier for eggs and tacos. I like making a nice aoli with it for burgers.

It's acceptable if you have nothing else around and it is at least not tabasco. Cholula is better, also just acceptable. Garlic Cholula is pretty good.

Taqueria sauce is the only really acceptable hot sauce. Unless you really like vinegar that much.

tapatio is trash.
The major base flavor is your average hot sauce, but then it's got this really weird background flavor of something like black pepper that totally throws everything else off.
I assume mexicans only love it because it used to be dirt cheap, and george lopez joked about it.

>Cholula is better, also just acceptable. Garlic Cholula is pretty good.
I tried every flavor.
The chile + lime flavor is nasty.
Very artificial lime flavor.
Chipotle flavor has no heat at all, it tastes like watered down bbq sauce.
The green chile one is pretty good. Nice jalapeno flavor.
Original and Garlic are great.

I'd care except this is all garbage and whatever your personal tastes on vinegar water with some shit in it is irrelevant when you have access to real hot sauce.

I totally agree.
It's all splitting hairs.
No hot sauce even comes close to Crystal.
It's in a class of its own. SSS tier.
Cholula is A tier. Not the best, but at least enjoyable.

SSS as in super shit sauce? Crystal just tastes like vinegar

>> No.16521887

It's shit. It has a bunch of spices in it that make it taste like dirt. I don't like spices in my hot sauce. I want chili and basic seasonings like salt, garlic, onion, etc.

>> No.16521896

>>16521881
I assure you the vinegar is much more pronounced in shit like texas pete, tabasco, louisiana, shit even taco bell sauce.

yeah there's some vinegar flavor (as there should be) but its not as strong.

>excuse, my dear waitress, but might I perchance take a gander at your hot sauce menu?
>...yes, "hot sauce menu." That is what I inquired about.
>You... don't... have one? Well, while that is truly disappointing for an establishment as esteemed as this, thankfully I always carry a choice selection of my rather vast collection with me at all times.

Agree. The only reason I tried it because its sitting there for like 75 cents, what the hell, if it sucks I will throw it out. I tried it and was pleasantly surprised, shits pretty good. Its at the sweet spot of 3,000 Scoville heat units with decent flavor and unpretentious. I am not embarrassed to have this bottle in my kitchen, unlike the vast majority of sauces these days.
The spic on the bottle is off-putting, they really need a big titty female mascot and rename it Tapatía, sales would double overnight and they could also double the price. There's a free hint for you stupid spics who haven't figured this out yet.

>> No.16523019

Cholula > Tapatio > Tabasco

Is Tabasco even a thing any more? It used to be ubiquitous in American diners for decades. Then they had special Tabasco varities like chipolte and salsa verde for a few years. And now I don't see them anywhere. Which is fine since Tapatio and Cholula are better.
