Absolutely, cook some diced onions in olive oil (and 2 teaspoons of water) medium heat until yellowish and salt them, open a can of olive oil tuna and remove the oil, add the tuna to the pan and cook it for a bit. The type of pasta I recommend is using either spaghetti or farfalle (ribbon like pasta).

Tuna is great for pasta but mind it's an expensive ingridient.

Sometimes when I get home from a double shift and I just need to eat something before I pass out I make a pot of spaghetti, drain it, plop in a can of tuna in oil.
It gets the job done.

Obviously you can add some chopped onions and peppers and herbs etc. etc. to make it more like a real dish.

I do it all the time. I will even save the oil in the fridge when I open a can of tuna that I don't intend to cook.
Maybe it just varies between brands how good the oil is. Or maybe you just do your onions at a higher temperature than me. I don't know.
I just figure that if I'm cooking fish in oil I might as well use the fishy oil for it and it has never been a problem for me.
And I am a bit of fish snob since I grew up in a fishing village so it's not just because I like rancid fish.

Paskeddy with garlic, butter, onion, itallian blend seasoning, and canned sardine in tonato sauce is a poverty meal that I ate all the time. I make a fancier version for myself now with fresh herbs and a wine-tomato sauce. Pretty tasty. Canned fish goes well in pasta, especially if the sauce is garlic butter or tomato based.

You should always google nutritional info, most people parrot bad info and generally have a poor understanding of the subject as a whole. A quick search tells me the two mushrooms highest in protein are white (1c sliced has 2.2g) and oyster (1c sliced has 2.9g).
