I have traveled all over the United States and can confidently say that Maryland has the best food of anywhere. Their seafood is miles ahead of anywhere else. Great Italian food. They have a food culture that doesn't exist in most places. The only other place that comes close is Chicago.

even if that were true (which it's not, Houston is the best food city in America), Maryland is such a shitheap of minorities, the worst drivers in america, ridiculous tax rates on fucking everything, traffic cams everywhere, and awful infrastructure that there's no reason to ever visit or live there.

>Maryland is such a shitheap of minorities
>Houston is the best food city

Houston:
> Hispanic 45.0%
> Black 22.6%
> Whites 24.4%
> Asian 6.8%

Maryland:
> White 41.1%
> Black 30.6%
> Asian 7.0%
> American Indian 0.2%
> Hispanic 18.3%

Only a retard (or more likely, a native texan) would actually think houston has an equal food scene to maryland.

Maryland has a fantastic food scene in the baltimore washington corridor and if you're willing to include DC itself and a bit of northern virginia, then it really can't be beat outside of chicago, NYC, or LA.

Maryland is outclassed for every type of food, Massachusetts has better seafood, Texas has better barbecue, Louisiana has better soul food, DC has more Michelin star restaurants. Maryland is a mediocre hodgepodge of foods, just like the state itself

Yeah but that's largely inflated from Baltimore county and PG county.

In the nicer counties (Howard and MoCo) you're much whiter.

Howard:
> 62.2% white
> 17.5% Black
> 14.4% Asian
> 5.8% Hispanic
> 5.9% other (mixed race, American indian, other races)

MoCo
> 60.2% White (9.1% German, 8.3% Irish, 6.3% English, 4.3% Italian, 3.7% American, 2.9% Polish, 2.8% Russian)
> 19.9% Black (1.9% Ethiopian)
> 19.9% Hispanic (6.80% Salvadoran, 1.71% Mexican, 1.24% Peruvian, 1.22% Guatemalan, 1.06% Honduran, 0.92% Colombian, 0.85% Puerto Rican, 0.70% Dominican)
> 15.6% Asian (4.10% Chinese, 3.68% Indian, 1.62% Korean, 1.42% Vietnamese, 1.22% Filipino, 0.43% Pakistani, 0.31% Japanese, 0.26% Taiwanese, 0.21% Sri Lankan)
> 5.2% other (3.4% Two or more races, 0.7% American Indian, 0.1% Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander)

And like I said, most people include DC in the Maryland food scene because it's centered around the most populated area of the state.

Further, northern Virginia is a short drive, away as well and has a large number of restaurants (including the region's only 3 Michelin starred restaurant)

>> No.16513682

>>16513675
Also to note, Montgomery county includes white Hispanics in their white %, so it's realistically closer to ~45%

sounds like you live in a rural area, or you're a poorfag moron that doesn't understand that restaurants operate on thin as fuck margins due to labor costs and ingredient cost. Most places only make real money from alcohol sales.

So close. I live in Locust Point and make six figures.

>Most places only make real money from alcohol sales.
No shit dumbass, that's everywhere. Being from MI, a beer would cost you $2.50 at bars that only sold hot dogs or popcorn. The places are always packed and making (concerningly good) money and it wasn't because the food.

These bars all have menus a mile long with frufru items like "award-winning" poke-tuna nachos. Lose the pretentious menu to cut food costs. Labor costs shouldn't be an issue since half the places in Fed Hill only have like 3 servers and a couple chefs working at any given time.

>Based on survey estimates, the total abundance of all crabs (males and females of all ages) was estimated at 405 million crabs in 2020. Recruitment, or the number of age 0 crabs (less than 60 mm or 2.4 inches carapace width), was estimated as 185 million crabs in 2020. Approximately 141 million age 1+ female crabs were estimated to be present in the Bay at the start of the 2020 crabbing season, which is above the abundance threshold of 70 million crabs, but below the target of 215 million crabs.
