I'd be more worried about the sugar in the bread unless you have cholesterol issues

>how unhealthy is the pre-packaged garlic bread from safeway?
I worked in a safeway bakery and I've made the garlic bread. The bread is usually fresh cooked 2 hours maybe before the garlic bread is packaged, in most grocery stores stuff like the french bread usually sells out every day so it's almost always fresh.
The spread itself is basically a cheaper quality margarine with garlic powder mixed in. The big bucket it comes in sits under the bench we used to make the breads and it would last 2 weeks at a time usually.
We would take a regular old yellow plastic bench knife, the same one that comes in flour you buy at the store and that the suppliers would give us stacks of, grab a glob of garlicky margarine and smear it decently thick on both sides.
It's fine for what it is, not the healthiest but whatever.

You can talk about it here, but the lads over at /diy/ know what they're talking about and partake in it regularly. I've recently got out my diy beer kit and have just bottled my 3rd brew.

What about sunflower oil? Basically the default oil to use in Croatia.

High in PUFA switch to ghee, olive, or coconut oil. Macadamia, palm, and Shea and cocoa butters also work. Plus the classique lard and tallow.
