How do I broil a steak without fucking it up? Explain it like I'm retarded and have never used an oven before.

Set the broiler to the highest temperature it has

Set the oven rack as close to the broiler as possible

Season and oil your steak, put it in a cast iron pan, put it under the broiler

Flip before it lights on fire
Take it out before it is overcooked

Fpbp. Preheat the broiler op. It doesn't beep when it's ready like your oven does. Just let it go like 10 minutes set to max.

Can I boil a steak? Been thinking about how to go about it. Maybe freezing it would keep it together from falling apart in the pot? I'm tired of the taste the pan/grill adds to the meat (I have a sensitive tongue)

boil it in milk

Would not recommend. Try cooking thinly sliced beef hotpot style instead, or in a stew if you want bite-sized chunks.

honestly your broiler just isn't hot enough for it to be worthwhile. Restaurant broilers are far hotter than a home oven's. You're better off just cooking your steak in the myriad of other ways. If you want something as hot as a commercial steakhouse broiler use a chimney starter.

no. but consider making a stew with some cheap beef. google guinness and onion beef stew. that's nice.

Have your mother cook it for you, dummy. :^)

If you cook it submerged in water, you lose all that good steak juice. Bad idea.
