Guys, I might have fucked up.
I haven't cooked anything harder than reheatable/frozen shit in about 3 years, but my dumb mouth told a girl I work with that I could make something for her birthday. She said she loves Chop Suey, and I said "yeah no problem".
At the time I was thinking of what is apparently American Chop Suey with macaroni and beef and shit. Chop Suey has oyster sauce and bok choy and all this other stuff I have probably never seen before.
Any of you know a recipe for a cro magnon like me? I can get the ingredients probably, and I'm literate enough to follow a recipe, but I don't want to fuck this up.

Some places refer to it as american goulash. I've always understood it to be the homemade version of Hamburger Helper. It's not fancy but it's not bad.
