Steak tacos

Marinated the steak for 2 days in a mix of pineapple juice, oregano, cumin, garlic, olive oil, soy sauce and brown sugar, then grilled and sliced it very thinly. Topped with cilantro, homemade salsa, and sour cream

Fucking heavenly

Making garden vegetable skewers on the grill. Too tired and hungry to take any pics other than this one (uncooked and unseasoned) It's beets, turnip, jalep, onion, and yellow squash from my garden. Coated in melted lard and seasoned with salt and pepper. Homemade ice cream for dessert. It's too fucking hot.

Nothing. I'm prepping a pork shoulder to go in the smoker tomorrow. Doing a carna asada for it. Not sure what wood I'll use for it.

Had mussels in tomato garlic sauce over rice and some fresh bread i picked up at the Italian bakery.

Dessert was decaf coffee and fresh biscotti bought at the same bakery. All eaten outside in beautiful weather with nice tiki torches going. Was really nice. Gonna rain tomorrow so I'm sad i won't be able to have a nice outdoor meal or coffee.

Applewood or oak is my suggestion.

Made some kind of heavily bastardized croque madame. Bread, thin sliced honey ham, hatch pepper infused mozzarella, Dijon, and mayo. Broiled the halves with ham and mozzarella on the tops. Put an over easy egg on top at the end.
8/10
Olive oil infusion base in the mozzarella overpowered the Hatch Chile flavor and the mustard. Egg was slightly overdone from sitting too long waiting for the broil to finish.

Fries and sausages. I am going to throw them all into the oven and eat them with ketchup.

>> No.16466877

I'm watering out some salted coalfish that I suppose I will steam and have with new potatoes and maybe a spinach sauce.
Coalfish is absolute dogshit and you should only ever eat it if you can get it for free. I salt it because that improves the texture somewhat.

Thawing a leg of lamb which I plan on doing some kind of BBQ with. Not sure if I can just do it like I do brisket or if that will make it dry. We'll see.

OP here.

Sorry, wife gets the leftovers for lunch today. This is her favorite soup that I make, followed closely by a creamy chicken enchilada soup.

I wish I could cook but I still live with my parents who cook for me always. Until I get a bachelor's pad I won't be cooking myself.
