The standard is too sweet, but if you kind of like it anyways try the shiso one if you can find it. The shiso cuts the sweetness a lot and gives it a bit of an herbal flavor. Avoid the honey; it's much sweeter than the standard.

Captain is literally only ok when mixing with coke and even 6/10 at best. if you're spending $30 just get Pussers, Plantation, Pampero, Doorlys instead and you wont even need to mix it to enjoy it. I got the Private Stock a decade ago as my "big bottle" for my 21st bday a decade ago and cant remember a single thing about it. I would guess its a tad oakier and probably only really noticeable if you're sipping it neat.

if you're mixing then if its fine, if you're sipping just get Henry McKenna for the same price(same distillery as well), lower abv if ur USA but better tasting straight imho. Evan Williams Bottled in Bond is really the best value overall if its not marked up to over $20. It has decent complexity, woodiness, 100 proof.
