Does anyone do this?

>pull off chunks of meat and skin off the bone
>put this into a pile on the plate
>when the bone has been cleaned, discard
>wrap appropriate amounts of skin around each piece of meat
>enjoy
>repeat until finished

I'm just curious. Nobody has ever said anything about me doing this (I eat a lot of chicken with family and friends), but nobody else does this. Frankly, I don't care if people think it's weird, it is kinda weird I guess. I just want to know if anyone else does this.

>> No.16457249

thats really fucking weird. i would never eat out in public with you

So, you're re-wrapping the meat cuts with previously discarded poultry skin? I'm just trying to figure out what you're saying.

I take the meat off the bone and then use the skin as a "tortilla" to put the meat in and then eat that

no I've never done that

I see the appeal. getting an even skin:meat ratio. it's kind of annoying when you bite into some chicken and all the skin slides off so you have to slurp it up like pad see ew noodles or awkwardly adjust it back onto the flesh and pretend you didn't just fuck it up. i also don't like my food very hot.

but it sounds like a very neurotic way to eat. why do you have so much time when you eat?

i suppose it is. i am very neurotic about my food and how i eat it. a girl i used to date in the past commented on it. i suppose it comes from me truly appreciating the food. the better it is, the more neurotic i can be about it, and the longer i take. good observation.

do you eat your food in equal amounts so that you dont run out of anyone component too early in the meal? the last few bites for me are usually rolling combos of carbs, meat and the various veggies. the last round of bites is the most important as you have to decide what your going to chew on last, what flavours do you want to linger in your mouth.

>> No.16458680

hm, no, but i always take off the crispy skin on grilled or baked chicken and save it for the last bite because it's the best part
as a kid i also used to eat around the meatballs in meatball soup and then save them all for last so i eat the best part last. but i don't do it anymore

This is something that I actually do if eating alone but I know it's abnormal and don't do it in front of others. You are effectively making chicken nuggets or tenders if you think about it, makes me wonder why I don't just get those to begin with.

No. One of the major benefits of fried chicken is that the meat stays piping hot for a good long while so long as the skin isn't broken. By pulling the meat off the bone and setting it aside, you're allowing the meat to cool off which robs you of much of the joy of eating fresh fried chicken.

"i don't see how something could still be hot even after it had cooled a little"

the chicken i eat is nashville hot chicken. it's literally steaming when i break into it. i had a 4 piece that took 20 minutes to eat and 20 minutes later when i broke into the thigh steam came out. so it was hot. don't continue to talk to me about this because i don't care if "i don't see how" the man cares if chicken is hot or not.
