his cooking is dosghit, but I do really enjoy that he actually ventures into the science behind the cooking. His video explaining a cooking phenomenon are infinitely better than his mediocre recipes. Back in the day Chefsteps explained a lot of cooking science but they've recently been strong armed into making recipes that aren't as high tech as they used to be.

I like his videos. His recipes are straight foreword, quick and every one I made has been pretty tasty. His food science and history vids are pretty interesting and seemingly well researched as well. As for him as a person he has definitely gotten in some stupid arrogant arguments with people in the comments and has said some stupid liberal shit in the past (like how he used to refuse to do ethnic food cause it was "cultural appropriation" which he obviously rescinded when he started making big money). Overall I certainly like him more than a lot of the super big food youtube channels like Babish and Weismann.
