I saw a post here recently basically saying

yes you dumb fuck, that's the point. he makes simple introductory recipes for plebs to bring to potlucks and learn cooking in an accessible manner. shitting on food wishes is like when you turn 10 and shit on sesame street because it's "for babies". it doesn't mean it's bad, it's just not for you. this man is a treasure who helps people get over their fear of cooking. if his recipes are too dumbed down for you, they're not for you. Back in 1968 my father met Chef John while they were serving as security interests employed by the Portugese to protect vital airfields from attacks by FRELIMO guerilla's.
