Good frozen food and baked stuff. Produce and meat is usually sub par, at least at the ones I can go to. Beer and liquor selection is good and kerrygold is like a buck fiddy cheaper than the bigger grocery stores I have.

To be honest with you I've only been to Colorado (Denver) a couple times, and I know they have Safeway there, but I don't know about the other stores. Safeway will serve you fine for most grocery trips, but if your are trying to be more health conscious of have dietary restrictions whole foods, and Trader Joe's are good for that. If you need specialty baking ingredients like 00 flour or DOP tomatoes, you may have difficulty finding them at bog standard stores like Safeway and may need to look for more higher end stores. Finally, I highly encourage you to look for a local farmer's markets you can get incredibly fresh produce and artisan goods there. Best of luck in your move :)

Anons list is pretty good, but he missed Walmart (often clowned but they sell half of the groceries in the us) some Walmarts in nicer areas of town are actually good, and since they sell a shit ton everything is fresh. Is the local butcher/farmers market better? Yes but way more expensive. Also keep an eye out for ethnic stores go in and check them out for taco night and rice and shit

there's a huge Chinese university-student population in this neighborhood and yet the only Chinese food you can get here is disgusting. Like "owner of the restaurant complaining about a toilet backing up all over the restaurant floor, in front of customers" disgusting. This "cool backwards hat" Chinese guy with an American nickname thinks it's a story about him being fleeced by a plumber for 600 bucks. 600 bucks is what you should have paid the plumber just for keeping his yap shut about this RESTAURANT flooding with SHITWATER. Anyways my point is, their orange chicken has fully replaced chinese restaurants for me. Served with a bag of microwave broccoli florets, and I like to put tapatio in the orange-sauce.
Their butter, peanut butter, and parmesan are all top-notch among store brands. Booze, too. Tried their hard-seltzers lately, actually really great. I get my staples at Aldi and some specialties I'll get here.
