While KFC is doing great in other countries, it’s a dying brand in the US. Popeyes and Chick Fil A are massively beating it in every regard, and even with recent quality improvements it’s still outshined by them. Is there a chance to revive it, or is a dead brand?

This is mostly bullshit, though. Most grocery deli fried chicken has taken a swan drive in quality. Out of high school I used to work at a grocery deli and we'd bread chicken the day before. It'd sit in that seasoned breading and make a delicious breaded paste for the next day, and through osmosis would season the chicken itself. We'd pressure fry it, dump it and break it apart, and then deep fry the last few minutes to get it crispy all over. It was probably the best fried chicken I ever had.

Then, because of "muh margins," they decided they'd only bread it just before serving and then it started to taste like shit. Now every store does this, you can see the breading cards they have set up to bread it just before they fry it. The texture is shit, the flavor is shit, and the chicken itself tastes barely seasoned.

Find a place that does it right or just do it at home.

They need to poach ex McDonalds employees or steal their training manual or something. Too many people are standing around doing nothing, there are people waiting at the register not being served, there is no cleaner.

KFC is absolute trash in New Zealand. The only saving grace is wicked wings. Original recipe is the soggiest, gummiest breading on the stringiest and driest chicken you've ever chewed.
