Funny thing. Visited a friend in finland first time in my life. We walk into a supermarket to get some stuff, and then boom. A whole row of gambling machines right there, and some old lads sitting there playing. Apparently gambling like that is all good in finland, was honestly surprised.

traditional finnish cuisine is just gross, watery, mushy and bland. the finns will wash it down with copious amounts of our traditional boozes like "jaloviina" or "koskenkorva" which will numb their taste buds to this gross shit. modern home cooks are capable of doing better food, we modern finns love stuff like "riisi ja kanakastike" which is rice (usually basmati) with creamy chicken sauce and also "tortillat" which is ground meat, salad, grated cheese and different sauces all wrapped inside a nice tortilla flatbread.
