Grilled over the last coals of a half ass drunken firepit and accidentally dropping them in the ashes but just wiping them off and saying fuck it because its too dark to see them and you are too drunk to care. Then dashing hot sauce in your mouth to cool them off when they sizzle when they hit your tongue

Danish Pølse dog. Bright red with a snap. Marinated Cucumber slices. Both fresh raw red onion, and crispy french fried onions. Either Remoulade, or hot mustard on bun and drizzle mayo over.

The sausage should extend a few inches past the bun on both sides so you can get a few bites of the meat by itself so you know the quality, not just covering up a subpar sausage.

just mustard. a good sausage will do the heavy lifting. nothing like the snap of a natural casing.

I don't eat hot dogs because I don't like homogenized meat but the Chicago dog is the most aesthetic looking. I don't know which one is Carolina style.

barbequed hot dogs on toasted buns with pickled or caramelized onions, sweet relish, mayo, honey mustard, Montreal steak spice, Cholula hot sauce, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut.

ketchup goes nowhere near a hot dog in this household, just as god intended.

Making dogs at home? Yellow mustard, minced onion, bit of celery salt.

Overall favorite dog? Olneyville NY System Hot Weiners, a Rhode Island delicacy. 3 all the way, please ("all the way" means "mustard, minced onion, celery salt, and spiced meat sauce.")

A standard hot dog is only 130 calories. With a bun you're at 250 calories. That's only 1/10th of a full grown man's daily caloric needs. And that's if he isn't working out or doing hard labor. Chili dogs were invented to add bulk protein and fat for hard factory working men in Detroit to have a hearty lunch.

I believe Carolina style is a chili dog with Cole slaw on top
