Hi /ck/, I was just advised I should bring pulled pork to the Independence Day BBQ. I live in an apartment and don't have access to any kind of grill or smoker.
Does /ck/ have a preferred recipe for pulling your pork indoors? Slow cooker, sous vide, oven, or stovetop are all options for me. I am willing to put in extra effort to make it as good as possible. Thanks for your help freinds

just dump it in a crock pot with bbq sauce and apple cider vinegar on low for like 10 hours

Pork shoulder into a deep baking dish
Flavourful cooking liquid (stock, soysauce, chili, spices, whatever you're into) up about half way
Seal tightly with foil
Low and slow in oven for like four hours for a small shoulder

I know it tastes fine, and I think that's probably the expectation, but I'd like to exceed the expectation and bring some really really good pulled pork.

I'd say the rub of your choice a day or two before cooking and then Dr. Pepper in the slow cooker about a half day or more before pulling.
