Dagos freak out over "muh tradition", even though all of their food is imported from the Americas and China, and the meals they consider "traditional" and part of their "heritage" are less than a hundred years old, including pizza. Meanwhile, in America, where we can actually afford more than a couple of slices of cheese and some fucking leaves, pizza is an actual meal. Everything "Italian" has been vastly improved by america.

It depends. If you want a delicious, simple meal on a warm day, with a chilled white wine while you watch the sun go down over the water, then an Italian margarita pizza is great.
If you're hung over and need 2500 calories worth of bread, meat and cheese to be delivered to you in about half an hour because you drank way too much last night, and you need to replace lost water, salt and nutrients, then an American pizza is ideal. You wouldn't sit there and eat an American pizza at a fancy restaurant, and an Italian Margarita pizza when hung over would probably not be the ideal time to try and enjoy something that takes time and attention to properly savour

The Italians do one thing REALLY GOOD, but after a while it's the same fucking thing. Really, the best pizza is US Style but not from the US because they just go fucking stupid with the level of ingredients.

it depends on many factors. Neapolitan pizza is better in Napoli (which is the best style technically), but southern italy is poorer than northen italy and things obviously cost less. The same good pizza in naples could be around 4/6 euros in Napoli while in Milan would be 10/12 euros

Then it depends also on what kind of style you like more, some people argue that Roman style pizza is better which is more crunchy and thinner.

Amerilards that talk about the scarce number of styles have never been in Italy or they did the Milano-Firenze-Napoli 1 week trip. There are something like a different style for every region (not all of them) , but the most common one are the Neapolitan and the Roman styles. We also have the NY kinda style, which are what egiptians make in kebab places, they are mostly eaten when drunk or hungry at 2 AM.

In Naples there are some evolution of pizza style in these years, "canotto pizza" (pic), which is trend meant to stay (even more rised dough) and set new pizza standards.

Tbh italian cuisine is stadily changing and evolving, it just happens that most of the "new" things tried around the world (especially in the US) are plain shit

Carbonara is less than 50 years old, and the cheese used changed later to balance the flavour, new styles of pizza (no new topping) are born less than 5 years ago, we get rid of cream since the '80, Ragu is no more the one coded in the original recipe and so on.
The problem is when the concep of **innovation** is "let's add some shit without any criteria" or "cover this in fused cheddar" or even worse "i like garlic hence galic goes everywhere"
So next time you want to make something new, just don't make something retarded

By kinds you mean toppings or differend dough styles?

Talking about toppings there are some "standard" pizza aside from margherita. The classic ones are
- margherita
- marinara: (no mozzarella, garlic and oregano)
- capricciosa (ham, artichoke, black olives, white champignons mushrooms)
- tuna and onions
- sausage and turnips (white pizza, in naples)
- seafood (mussel, octopus, squid, prawns. optionally mozzarella)
- bell peppers
- ham (prosciutto cotto) or prosciutto
- diavola (hell's pizza): (spicy salami)
- anchovies
- grilled vegetables (no mozzarella)
- american pizza (in some country "patapizza"): (slices hot dogs, french fries). This is a pizza meant for childs generally

And then every pizzeria does whatever it wants. But these are the one considered standard pizza

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellantis
Stellantis N.V. is a Dutch automotive manufacturer, formed in 2021 on the basis of a 50-50 cross-border merger between the Italian-American[7] conglomerate Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and the French PSA Group.

>The principal activity of Stellantis is the design, development, manufacture and sale of automobiles bearing the Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën, Dodge, DS, Fiat, Fiat Professional, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Mopar, Opel, Peugeot, Ram and Vauxhall brands.

So we just covered Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Lancia, as well as Fiat and Abarth, two more Italian car manufacturers from your list that goes on.
Lamborghini is owned by Audi, who is owned by Volkswagon.

This also doesn't touch on where these cars are actually made, Volkswagon having come under fire for ties to Uighur forced labour in China.

Ferrari is the only one on your list owned by itself.

It's astounding that you can be so wrong in such a few lines

>American pizza is better,
The most obvious wrong statement

>Italians use wet mozzarella that makes the pizza soggy
It's not "wet" you mongoloid it's "milky", and it's a very good thing since that "wet" has a lot of flavour
Also if you don't explicitly request buffalo mozzarella they use "fiordilatte" which is a low moisture mozzarella like cheese, not the heavily processed shit you put in your amerilard face, you talk about it like using shit mozzarella is a pro.

>if you add too much cheese or any more toppings
That's why they use the right amount.
Americans don't know shit about nuance and basically have the brain of a ape "more = better"

>That's also why American pizzas can be made LARGER while Italians are limited to a single serving size, i
That's wrong. Italian pizza can be made as large as you want. I used to buy family size pizza which has 4/5 servings of american size pizza. Still i don't understand why not being able to make gigantic pizza, even if that was true, constitution a valid argument.

Everyone has different taste.
Napoli has a small pizza, puffy dough and edge.
Roma can do Napoli style but has also a version that's bigger and crunchy (you can notice the edge of the pizza if is puffy or flat). They do this because in Roma they have two style of focaccia: normal (puffy, 1cm tall) and scrocchiarella (flat and crunchy).
Not an expert in other part of Italy, but since Milano is a global town (TV, dresses, and other expensive shit) has original neapolitan pizza. The joke is that Milano has the freshest fish of Italy.
Side note, the original pizza is cooked in a stone oven, in most part Italy they use an electric one(imagine bbq vs home stove). Ofc also in Napoli elec oven is used, but it's like mc donald, is cheep and so it's everywhere.

bottura is extremely appreciated in italy what the fuck are you talking about?
They don't teach to talk about something if you actually know the subject in America? It's something I noticed in general population

Bottura gets shit when he does shitty things, he's a chef, not a nuclear physicist
If you want a fair comparison, none shit on Cannavacciuolo, Oldani or Barbieri.

Carlo Cracco get shitted on because his gourmet margherita which was ridiculous

>You "people" are extremely, autistically resistant to change.
Italian cuisine change constantly over the years, you not knowing it or being able to recognize when a change is good is a problem of yours

>You "people" literally seethe if someone uses something other than pig cheeks when they make carbonara, screaming about muh tradition
Because guanciale is perfect for that recipe and if you had half of palate you would recognize it you cretin
Guanciale is a pill of sweet and salty grease that melts in your mouth, and it's perfect to cut the flatness of the egg and cheese salt

I forgot:
It's also a matter of ingredients. Buffalo mozzarella, mozzarella and fiordilatte are a product of Napoli region. You can import them (as Milano do) but the average pizza in Napoli has access to great ingredients. Most don't and if they have are older because of import time, very few pay an express delivery for mozzarella.
Now, the reality is that the dough is the MC of the pizza (like rice in sushi). Everyone can do a great pizza dough in theory, but almost nobody will, because you need to levitate it for 24h. And time is money. Not even in Napoli everyone has a great dough, and for a buongustaio(like me lol) there are 7-8 places where you can eat a 'good pizza' in the whole city.

Nah dude. In Italy cuisine is poor from its inception. We have l'arte d'arranggiarsi(do it with what you have).
Carbonara ok? You have eggs but no guanciale and no pecorino. Fuck it, we do it with parmisan and leftover sausage from yesterday's dinner. NOBODY in Italy won't tell you anything about that. The problem is if you pick up your custom made and try to pass it for the 'original'. Then EVERYBODY will have a problem with you.
In the 80s new cuisine started adding cream to the recipe, and throwing away the egg white. Ok, thats a 'revisitation', don't pass it for the original.

It depends on the quality of the pizza and your taste obviously

Italian are divided between Neapolitan and Roman, which are "officially" considered the pizza of italy

If you like wet, chewy dough with soft airy crust you will like Neapolitan pizza more. If instead you like a more crunchy and dry dough, go for roman

The other regions do technically their pizza but they can be a hybrid.
For example Sfincione in Sicily is god tier even if it's not really a pizza, the same is pizza in Tuscany cooked in the "teglia"

But i suggest you to eat pizza napoletana in Neaples (in good pizzeria like Sorbillo, Starita, Franco Pepe, 50 kalo'') and Roman pizza in Rome.

In the other region, try what's typical there

Guanciale isn't a normal cut of meat that people can easily and affordably get here, so people, mostly Italian immigrants desu, use bacon, and then shitalians scream and cry and stamp their feet about it, like you're doing right now. If it was in a documentary then it was true for sure.

Dude, Gualtiero Marchesi was making open ravioli and gold in Milanese rice before bottura was even in his father ballsack. I don't know why and who precisely hated him but high end cuisine was a thing way before bottura.
