Other than making your own olive oil, you'll need to contact a distributor and pay them for the legit uncut oil. It's pretty expensive and not worth it DESU

What baffles me is how many Americans are proud of being scammed left and right by large corporations and will even actively defend them and bring up "nanny state" arguments whenever steps are taken to have stricter consumer protection laws.

Watch documentary about fake olive oil in Europe. See brands that sell fake olive oil. Wait for documentary to tell you that X brand paid a heavy fine and is now producing better olive oil.

Then wait 2 years for new documentary.

Or buy the expensive one from Kreta.

All oils have about the same amount of calories per tablespoon. There is very little difference in nutrition. There is also a lot of misconception. People often point the finger at pig lard (Manteca), as a culprit of making people fat, but this has the same calories per tbsp as olive oil does. At the end of the day, it's all about price and flavor. I choose to use pig lard for my oil.

Well yes that is how the slippery slope works. Your hyperbolic argument notwithstanding humans do need to be guided to some degree or they will make horrible choices to their detriment. The problem being that whoever or whatever is set up to guide them will always either start or corrupt or end corrupt leading to the same outcome of suffering in the end.

The only true solution is AI government with unbreakable rules that it most allow some leniency for human happiness. But again we come to the problem of whoever programs this AI being biased and sowing the seeds for a corrupt system so really at the end of the day we are all just fucked no matter what so might as well enjoy the cheeseburgers along the way.

Slippery slope is a fallacy. Doing thing A doesn't automatically lead to thing B. Those are different decisions with different factors. You have to THINK every time the pros and the cons, you just can't allow EVERYTHING. That's fucking childish and naive at the same time.

Gun is not a car. Gun is not a freedom. There will never be just freedom. Because we live in interpersonal socities. Actions that you do affect others and vice versa. People making money selling guns for money and people having guns gets people killed more. That is a fact. Slippery slope fallacy is hypothetical bullshit.

>> No.16323280

>>16323270
Slippery slope is reality. Just because all things aren't directly connected doesn't mean society making bad choices doesn't lead to worse ones. This is reality in all facets of life, in gaming in culture in politics. Once compromise starts it always slides down into more compromise.
But you know this already and just wanted to get an easy you by thinking you had some got ya explaining how technically the quote wasn't a literal slippery slope. Congrats here's your candy don't eat it all at once or you will get a tummy ache.

I’ve only ever had one can (it came in a container that solvents generally come in) of pure uncut olive oil. I only ever used it as a dressing or seasoning, not as a cooking oil. The oil went bad before I could use it all up. It’s good, but you’re not missing anything when you cook with processed Amerilard oil.

you can search engine yourself the calories of oil per tbsp and they are all equally similar. i think mexican food uses a lot of pig lard for its preparation and that's where it gets a bad reputation from. but asian countries also use a ton of oil in all of their dishes, that's why we know the phrase 'hot oil'. a blend of spicy seeds and literal oil for a dipping/dressing sauce.
