I'm a food delivery driver and working these apps made me realize Tipping is the biggest scam in Economic history.

You only work for tips, and you would stop working if you only received a minimum tip amount from each customer. At the end of the week, you as a driver are only monitoring your avg tip amount per avg time it took to complete every job. One time my company sent out a memo that you need to text cutesy emojis to every customer to improve your avg tip amount.

Delivery App business models prey on the consumer to carry the drivers wages through a campaign of fraud, through virtue signaling that (drivers) don't get paid enough. This is obvious corporate trickery.

In the end, lowball tippers win, and high-tippers are cucked. Or in other words, whales and paypigs carry the food industry out of ignorance. Drivers are cucked too. The only way the consumer can win is to tip nothing or the bare minimum, and i don't blame them.

As an american food consumer, when it comes time to tip, you feel a great deal of guilty and remorse. How much should I tip? you tell yourself. "Well i don't have to legally tip anything.". Charity, that's what it feels like working food delivery apps at night time. All the tips are $3 max. i feel like santa clause delivering gifts. I did this a few nights and the tips are horrible. the only people who work past 9pm are morons. Just giving you the perspective from a driver.
