Just bought a case of Virgil's at the store lads. It has a smooth, distinct vanilla flavor. Almost no carbonation sting in the throat. Pretty good, but really pricy. My go to is still Bang's. That olde thyme just cannot be beat.
I had Sprecher and Dad's a couple of weeks ago and they both felt bland, like they were the dictionary definition of root beer. Almost no personality in either of them. On a different note, Sprecher's cherry soda is really good. Above and beyond Coke, Pibb, and even Dr. Pepper. It has a sharp cherry flavor that reminds more of the fruit than it does of cherry syrup, if I could find it in any close by store, it would be my go to soda.

For me. i'm kind of mainstream. i drink A&W most of the time, but my favorite i've had is Barq's. I'm sure there's lots of other ones i would like more, though.

The best Root Beer I've ever had was 1919 Root Beer. I'm pretty sure they only sell it in a pony kegs. I can only get it when I'm in Minnesota.

I was on vacation recently and eating out and decided to get soda. I never drink soda but I said fuck it, I am on vacation. Decided to try something I never had before so I went with Doc Brown's root beer. I was actually shocked at how tasty it was. Never drank something so good so I kinda went on a root beer kick after that. What exactly is the ingredients in root beer that make it taste so good that is different from regular soda? I tried bundaberg root beer and it sucks real bad. Sad because their ginger beer and their sarsaparilla are amazing, but the root beer just tastes like watered down sarsaparilla.
