What is the best, most “proper” way to brew coffee? I just want to skip all the nonsense and jump straight to the most patrician method.

You just asked this in /ctg/ and didn't get the answer you wanted, so you made an entire thread about it? Once again, there is no one proper way. Brew however you want, but a $20 pourover cone or french press would be your simplist, cheapest, and hardest to fuck up methods.
