What is the best, most “proper” way to brew coffee? I just want to skip all the nonsense and jump straight to the most patrician method.

There is no objective “patrician” method. Depends on how you like your coffee. Try a bunch and decide for yourself instead of trying to gain consensus on a Georgian canoe-carving forum.

I cold brew mine and only drink coffee cold atm. It supposedly extracts the good parts and leaves out the bad parts.

What's pictured there isn't cold brew. You just soak grounds in water for up to 24 hours, and strain.

cold brew tastes disgusting and if you like it you're palate is trash

I love my percolator to death and I maintain it gives the best results

Skip all this, and just eat chocolate-coated espresso beans.

You just asked this in /ctg/ and didn't get the answer you wanted, so you made an entire thread about it? Once again, there is no one proper way. Brew however you want, but a $20 pourover cone or french press would be your simplist, cheapest, and hardest to fuck up methods.
