This.
Works better if you use a room temperature egg, so it actually cooks.

Lightly sautee vegetables (especially onions) and add the cooking water to the vegetables. Same with chunks of meat.

Add some dried chives, chili oil or sesame >>16295405 bit of cayenne. I usually make my own broth since celiac and just add chicken bullion. Been wanting to try lobster bullion but they only sell it online it seems
The chives can really make a difference on their own

Buy instant dashi, a bottle of mirin, a bottle of sake, and a bottle of soy sauce. Add a tsp of everything to 2 1/2 cups of water. Heat until the dashi is completely disolved. Toss the noodles in and cook. Throw away the dollar store ramen flavor packet.
$20 worth of ingrediant will make you ~80 servings of ramen with a ton of the dashi left over. Your dollar store ramen is now $1.25 ramen that tastes like 7 dollar store ramen.

You are welcome fren

Buy pork tenderloin, marrinate in above ingredients, roast it, let it sit, slice, freeze. Break out 2-4 pieces per bowl and let em cook with your ramen for really good protein.

If you adding a protein I just use my chanko meatball recipe. You can make it in advanced and it will keep a three or so days in the fridge before it need to be eaten.
>1lb ground pork 20/80
>1 onion
>~1/2 tsp Ginger
>1 egg
>1/2 tsp sake
>1/4 tsp soy sauce
>1 cup panko
Mince the onion, grate the ginger crack the egg, add the fluid, add the meat. Mix well. Add the panko. Mix well.
With running water roll the meatballs into ~1" size.
During the broth making phase I mentioned above after the instant dashi has dissolved bring to a boil and add the meatballs. Cook ~7 minute uncovered. Add noodles and cook until done.
The pork fat adds so much flavor it is insane. Generally there are enough meatballs for six or seven servings. You can freeze the meatballs if you don't feel like eating ramen that many days in a row. Just make sure to defrost them in the fridge for a full day before you toss them in the pot. Nothing worse than soggy meatballs.

You want to get next level flavor? After you make the meatballs toss them in the fridge and grab some napa cabbage, bok choy, and daikon radish.
Wash two or three cabbage leaves and slice them into 1/2" stripes. Do the same with the bok choy. Slice off about an inch of daikon, peel that shit (make sure you peel past the inner webbing looking stuff or you will be sorry). Throw the daikon in to the broth along with the dashi and wet ingredients. Add the napa and bok choy when you add the noodles, but make sure they don't cover the meatballs or they will end up steamed and soggy.
The radish is nice and crispy with a slight hint of spice. The napa and bok choy give you a tender and interesting texture and deepen the flavor of the broth.
