I'm pretty sure they (Smithwicks and Kilkenny) were the same beer at one point.

Anyway, this. I haven't seen it around in forever, and they'd better still be making it, but it's everything I want in a beer. I'm making a girlier version of this beer for the meat-wrapped soggy vagina currently hogging my bed. It's a shade lighter, and so far has hints of pear in with the belgie banana yeast, but a sixpack looks like it should drop a bull moose mid-stride (9.3% if my calculations are correct), which is perfect, because I like my beers and my women heavy.

It’s expensive in (non-Okinawa) Japan as well, when compared to things like Sapporo, Kirin, and Asahi.
Orion doesn’t have regional brewing, it’s literally made only in Okinawa. So it’s practically an “import” for mainland Japan the same way the US would pay a higher price for beer brewed in Hawaii.

Well anon I’ll try my best to explain.
- Step 1 appears to show you should use your fingers to grip something on top of the can. If you were holding said can yourself, you would see there is one and only one thing which you can manipulate with your thumb and forefinger, as shown in the illustration.
- Step 2 seems to indicate that the one thing you can manipulate with your thumb and forefinger should be pulled both upward and opposite relative to the side of the can in which it is gripped upon, thus revealing a yellow/gold colored surface beneath it (which can be assumed to represent beer, as this is what is found inside the can).
- Step 3 appears to offer positive affirmation that if you correctly perform step 2, you will find that the top of the can had been removed in its entirety, thus allowing unfettered access to the yellow/gold substance (once again, assumed to be the beer contained within).

in that case, slight bit of butter to it, touch of sulfur and a wee whiff of freshly mown grass?

I'd expect it to be balanced, fairly oldschool, so it's more or less down to how they're treating the malt and yeast (aging, temp) as to how it's going to taste. Most of the unfiltered/bottle aged lagers and kolsches I've had tend toward a well-aged, toasted flavour, but I've had some green ones that were fuckin' tits.

Maybe not in the single one grocery store, but yup, they are fairly popular. And they cost 20-25% more than usual shittier eurolager here, so it's rly worth it imo.
I mean, it's probably one of the cheapest way to drink some bitter, hooppy beer over here. Proper crafts cost around 2 euro/ $2.5.

When I'm on the bus, it's whatever the headliner's got on the rider - usually some whiskey, vodka, and whatever big beer comes from that area (Heineken, Tuborg, Asahi, Canadian, etc.), but when we finally get to stop and hit a pub, I'll check the taps or menu, see if I can find something new, or something great that I CAN only really find there - helps me kind of tack people, beer and city together. For instance: Kevin and Mike in Windsor ON, CA. showed me and the guys Craft Heads - good blondes, stouts, and a bunch of weird nonsense. So we call them up when we're coming to town, get them on the crew, and hang out after and have a few good beers if there's time.

Citra's got it's place in West Coast flavours. I like adding it late or dry where it lives up to its name, but at 30-45 minutes into the boil (15-30 boil time) it gives a nice bit of lime zest to the usual grapefruit fight in a spruce forest bitterness that works well in amber and red beers, things with Crystal 40-60 in decent amounts. At the beginning of the boil, it might as well be a cheaper hop, but it bitters things up nicely.

British hops tend toward Humulene and Caryophyllene in about a 3:1 ratio, which can give some pine and even oak or maple, but usually gives off more of a floral scent and flavour with the pine rounding everything out to something more akin to thyme, marjoram or bay laurel. The 0.5-1% linalool with traces of geraniol just add to the perfume, especially if there's not much dry kilned malt to tip the flavour over from sweet or grassy.

I get a lot of perfume out of Tettnang too - shows up in heavy amounts from time to time in German and Czech beers.
