plastic actually makes it taste worse. why do you think we have been using glass bottles for 100+ years but despite having plastic injection the same time people are switching over to plastics, you know the same types of plastics people flat out dont bother to result but you can shift to heavy shares of glass and melt it back down really easily.

Plastic doesn't make it taste worse but your mind does perceive plastic as lower quality to glass, so in a sense it does taste worse but only because of your preconceived notions. That's literally why these brands choose to sell in more expensive glass, because it's more expensive, and that trick has obviously worked on you since you actually believe it makes it taste better.

Can plastic leech in to food? Sure over a long period of time, not anything you would be picking off a shelf.

you inject about a bottle cap worth of plastic into your body every 5 years just from simply using plastic containers and bottles and plastic utensil. same goes for metal pans and knives. difference is your body can handle trace amounts of metal, it cant handle plastics.

I work at a big corpo and can tell you exactly how this happened. Some marketing manager that the marketing exec liked wanted a feather in his cap and made a PowerPoint or maybe a five minute video explaining why they need to rebrand. He used a lot of buzzwords, arranged his team with agility, probably had huddles instead of meetings, and nobody ever thought to question whether it was actually a good idea. Even when the design came out and looked obviously hideous, too much had been invested to question it.
