Carne asade fries, but honestly, SoCal is a disappointing food destination- their weather is the highlight.

Check out Bestia in the arts district. It's mind blowing Italian food. One of the best restaurants in LA.

If you like Japanese Curry there's Coco Ichibanya which is pretty damn good. Authentic to the chain in Japan.
I'd also recommend checking out Angel City Brewery and the area around there.

I might be biased/nostalgic from my time at conventions but the area around the Staples Center/Convention Center feels like something out of Cyberpunk and there's a shitton of food/things to do.

there's so much good food and it's quite spread out, so it's really not difficult to find fantastic food just about wherever you are

the thing about LA is its so big and populated with different cultures that you can literally find some of the best restaurants for any cuisine.

If you dont want the 'normie best' try and find some local taqueria, as long as they dont have terrible reviews they are bound to have good tacos or breakfast burritos

not sure if its an LA thing or just a nationwide fad but one of the latest trends are poke bowls, bowls of rice topped with sushi ingredients. Basically the same tastes as sushi but more customizable and usually cheaper
