When I was little my family used to go out to a Thai restaurant a couple times a month, and my dad always made a point to ask for chopsticks when we ordered. I visited SE Asia in my late 20's and discovered that they don't use chopsticks for 90% of their meals in Thailand, but just use a fork and spoon - like they always provided us with at the table. My worst fear in life is turning into my dad.

My chinese buffet is very racist. A brown asian couple came in and I saw two pairs of chopsticks at their table, when they got up and left, the two chopstick pairs were never touched, which makes me assume the staff give them to anyone who looks asian or fresh off the boat lmao.

You don't use chopsticks for either of those, and you don't put wasabi on sushi. You mix it with a little bit of soy sauce so that it is creamy, and then you pick up the sushi by hand and dip it in that mix and eat the whole piece.

Naaah, I want few pieces with wasabi, the rest without. Sometimes I overdo it for a piece or two, so it's extremely hot. And I share my sauce most of the time with people that don't eat wasabi. Lastly, I like to dip the whole piece flat in soy sauce, it's not possible with hand without also dipping fingers.
