Good for you.
Why do people always use that exact pepe when they're making some tangential thread about something only relevant to themselves?
I just don't get what is so appealing about that image in particular.

Dear lord, your pizza smells like rotten pussy.

I've only ever eaten anchovies as the solo act of a pizza.

Anything I should try with those little salty sons of bitches?

Yeah, it conveys ambivalence.
Which gives off the vibe that OP has no strong feelings or anything of interest to really say in regards to the topic. Which is often the case and leads to the usual "dumb frogposter" comment or something, so I'd assume people would just find something else in a few seconds in google images.
I almost never see threads of this exact style on any of the weeb boards, even though they could just make the same style of thread if they used any random anime image and talked about consuming the medium. If that actually works as a gatekeep that's kind of depressing.

a. I use that frog because it's convenient
b. it does have strong emotions, whatever you are feeling will be projected onto neutral_pepe, it's why weebs and trannies hate it so much
c. the fact that people like you re about it makes everyone enjoy it that much more

>I use that frog because it's convenient
Yup, that's the core of it.
>it does have strong emotions
Ambivalence is strong from being a conflict of emotions, while neutrality is mild from a lack of conflict. Neither ascribes particular emotions, making their message ambiguous and generally applicable.
>whatever you are feeling will be projected onto neutral_pepe
That sounds like something that varies from individual. When I see that image, I see pepe staring at me with an emotion that's hard to judge. Now that does compel me to look at the text for context and tone, so it hooks me that much.
>it's why weebs and trannies hate it so much
Groups which are displeasing to you use it as well for the same reasons. The whole point is that anyone can use it without much consideration. And I don't hate the image, you, them, or this thread. I don't have much use for hate at all. The main feeling is disappointment in the OP topic having nothing interesting to comment upon, and that this OP image is a strong signal for it.
The reason it isn't used on the weeb boards is because it's got nothing to do with the topic of the board, and if you could sacrifice some convenience you could find and use similarly generic images which are relevant to the board topic.
>the fact that people like you re about it makes everyone enjoy it that much more
Mainly because it's overused and suggests someone is just using it because they need an image to make a thread and have a catch-all image saved for that exact purpose, and that they only use 4chan to make this thread because every other popular site requires a bit more effort to get attention.

Because if I have something say I like to express myself in a way which is thorough and accounts for the most predictable replies (besides tl;dr). My only concern is the character limit, and 2000 characters is a pretty low-effort read.
If my reply can be summed up in a few words it's probably something that doesn't add to the discussion, so I don't.
>>16234509
Nothing really. You're free to post using that image and I'm free to point out that you use it above all others.
I asked about it because I was curious what motivated using this exact image.

And I get a reply like that nearly every week ever since it became the most common "other" website. Feels like a decade ago.
Usually I don't respond because "reddit" is probably a placeholder for some displeasing style of tone and comment that they can't be bothered to elaborate on. Same with other off-site labels. There's nothing to really glean from that comment beyond another flavor of "fuck off," which isn't particularly effective beyond expressing your distaste.
I personally don't care what other sites anons use, since that clearly doesn't stop them from posting here or changes what they have already said.
