mostly disagree. Bacon makes most things better. Salty and porky. Although it can overpower things. Best try and eat it with something less salty, maybe creamy? Or like something a little acidic or sweat. Basically try and contrast the flavour.

I'm right there with you, anon. I never wake up hungry for sickly-sweet dough of any kind. I'd rather have sausage & eggs with milk & OJ any day of the week. Maybe one or two slices of toast or biscuits with some fruit jam at the most. As for pizza, I like a good slice from time to time, but acid reflux has me guzzling milk for hours afterward so it's pretty infrequent, and rarely pepperoni. As for bagels, meh, I don't see the appeal of bland, chewy bread. If I have to load it with toppings, I'd rather just have a sandwich.
