What healthy alternatives are there to soda? I know it sounds like I'm lying but I've never drank a glass of water in my entire life. Ever since my youth my mother gave me nothing but soda and orange juice and now I'm an adult and I'm incapable of even taking sips of water. It makes me gag for some reason. I've drank 4-5 cans of soda everyday. My dad has recently got diagnosed with diabetes and my mother gets kidney stones so I'd like to quit drinking soda and switch to water (or at least something healthier). I know I should go see a therapist or something but I thought I would start here

Lets say you actually care. I've seen people addicted to soda and pop drink mate tea before. Its a low sugar beverage with high amounts of natural caffeine. They would then transition from it to iced-tea, no caffeine, and then plain or carbonated water.

Look, you might need to get genuinely sick before you start drinking water because if you are throwing up just by drinking I don’t think you are trying hard enough. You can drink a quarter cup of water here and there and slowly train yourself back to being normal.
