Does anyone else hate when the waiter checks in on you do see if "everything alright" and similar things?
One of the main reasons I go out to eat is because I need a fucking break from everything. I've literally stopped going to some places because they're trying to be so fucking friendly and homely all the time. It doesn't get better that I'm tall as fuck and staff recognize me because I ate there once 4 months ago.

I worked at a bar/restaurant, and it was compulsory to do this. The company would send mystery shoppers to check and see we were doing 'check backs'. If we weren't we got in trouble, and it was put in the report, and the restaurant branch got a lower score. You should just tell them not to when you go in. Or make a place your regular, and tell them not to.
