Any suggestions on some good meals that are composed of soft foods only? So far I've mainly had chili, soups, and pasta and am running out of ideas.

Rice dishes. Porridge/oatmeal. Then, of course, is the fun field of smoothies and shakes.

mac n cheese is always a good bet. When I had my herbst appliance put in I ate a lot of ravioli and mashed potatoes.

This. Was in an accident that shattered a fuckload of my teeth and had to get implants, for the month or so of having no teeth I would have strangled someone if it wasn't for mashed potatoes and ground beef with gravy. If I had to go that whole time without eating a tasty animal someone would have died.

I just tried making shepherds pie and completely fucked that up, if you're in Munich you're welcome to have 2 liters of slurry with a mild thyme flavour.

I've made a cottage pie with taco-seasoning and onion+bellpepper in the mince, refried beans for the mash, and baked with a queso-esque topping. Called it "Vaquero's Pie" to be cheeky. Getting it to the right thick-enough consistency was a little tricky but it was delicious.
