Is lemon water just a meme? Or are there actually benefits to it. Also, is there anything special that I need to add to it?

lemon water is the biggest meme
it destroys your teeth over time. if you need to drink it for some reason, use a straw. the goal is 40z of lemon juice to fight kidney stones (except citric acid can also cause kidney stones)
make sure to supplement with plenty of regular water, and drink the lemon water with food in your stomach to avoid getting an ulcer.

So basically all the benefits of regular water, plus a bit of vitamin C?

I always thought it was a good source for electrolytes. I want a good source of electrolytes, just not Gatorade; because it’s filled with sugar.

Add lime juice, sugar, ice and rum to achieve all benefits.

My mom eats lemons and her dentist says she wore away all the enamel from the front of her teeth. He may be on to something

apparently i am wrong, lemon juice is actually good if you are prone to ulcers because it creates an alkaline environment and kills the bacteria that commonly create ulcers.
lemon juice does eat away at the enamel of teeth, but this is fixed by using a straw as mentioned.

yeah so did my brother, lemons and salt.
not the same thing won't happen any more than it would with lemonade or soda.

The enamel missing from your mom's teeth is a result of her bulimia, not lemon juice.

Um. Dissolve salt and sugar in water. There you go. Not lemons.

You're missing magnesium, potassium, calcium. The sugar serves no purpose.

Pretty much. It's just an easy way to make water more palatable instead of drinking high-calorie soft drinks or fruit juice.
