These crudités remind me of BBQs in my childhood. We eat burgers or steaks or whatever meat you grill and we are being guilt tripped into eating those raw veggies dipped in sauce. The worst sauce is ketchup mixed with mayo and the guilt trippers are the women obviously. How can you not grow up thinking that real men eat meat and pussies eat veggies and tofu?
I think that learning to cook decent vegetables is the key to get more people closer to a vegetarian diet. So drop the tofu and all the fake meat and teach us to cook vegetables so good they will force us to eat our burgers because they fear we don't eat enough meat proteins.

How people advocate vegetarianism and veganism (fake meat, substitute dishes) is the most unattractive way to present not eating meat.

Every cuisine has dishes that simply don't have meat in them. Where vegetables are celebrated. They don't have to be second place.

>CRUDITÉ
Every. Single. Family. Reunion.
Thanksgiving.
Christmas.
4th.
Memorial Day. All of the holidays.

There will be some homemade pickled mushrooms, or cippolini onions. A freshly made dip like gorgonzola, lots of carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes. Side of a cheese board, some salami, and lots of stuffed olives. Assortment of crackers, maybe a cheese ball covered in herbs or nuts.

Why you're not wrong, there's still the need for fats and proteins in plant-based diet

I agree with you. Bring on the oils and seaweed (for b12). Beans are a wonderful source of protein and many places have great bean centered dishes.

No need to break out the weird vegan substitutes and eat fake meat. As a species we are better than that.

Also for the record I eat a shit ton of meat. It's easily half my diet.

I just hate all the bullshit culture around sustainable meat and vegan culture. Then theres the part of society that see eating bugs as a reasonable alternative. Jesus christ society, have some dignity.
