Bought a jar of premade mole paste on a whim today. Anyone can give any tips on how to prepare mole chicken with this?

1) throw away disgusting mole
2) prepare chicken in a better way

>> No.16107679

Marinate the chicken in it overnight, don't wash off the marinade and roast the chicken.

You saying all mole is disgusting or store-bought mole is disgusting? I need to know if you're cringe or based.

The most basic way of preparing it is by mixing it with chicken broth until you like the consistency and taste.
The way I do it is that I also use chocolate and tomato purée to adjust sweetness and acidity. Comercial mole is often too salty, like they expect you to thin it a lot.

If you get your hands on black mole then make ribs instead

Most Mexicans don’t, but you should give them a nice crust and then finish then in the mole

mole on chicken is... strange, I always thought it was done by poor families. You should have mole with turkey.

>> No.16108510

mole is like mexican garam masala. recipes all use like 500 different ingredients and every brand is a little different. thats why prepackaged stuff is so popular, because its kind of a pain in the ass to make

OP, look at the ingredients in your “mole” and tell us where you went wrong….oil and crackers, wtf dude

now look at the ingredients from actual non-honky mole paste: Chile mulato, chile pasilla, canola oil, salt, plantain, sesame seed, garlic, onion, thyme, clove, cinammon, cumin, black pepper, oregano, peanuts, walnut, raisin, almonds, sugar, sodium benzoate as a preservative.
best option is making your own to taste, and strongly recommend it, but picrel is good back up plan

If your mole doesn’t come out terrible don’t forget to add lightly toasted sesame seeds.
Leftovers can go in a torta to make a sandwich, or in a baked mashed potato base casserole like pic related. Casserole is best with lettuce and radishes and avocado slices as fresh sides.
