I love vanilla ice cream. I don't like a ton of bullshit in ice cream. There are some flavors, like Blue Bell Banana Pudding that have a bit of complexity to them, but work well to be very cogent and heterogenous.

Their Old Fashioned Vanilla is _ALMOST_ better than Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla.

As a Texan, I legally cannot deny the sacred Blue Bell, but Tillamook makes a fucking excellent vanilla ice cream.

I usually buy haagen dazs cause it's the best, but went through the entire ice cream aisle last month looking at ingredient labels trying to find something else that doesn't use all the additive shit. Some random boutique brands met requirements but we're like $8 a pint so not buying that shit. Pleasantly surprised to find turkey hill's all natural line has a pretty basic ingredient list:
Ingredients: NONFAT MILK, CREAM, SUGAR, VANILLA, NATURAL FLAVORS, VANILLA BEAN.
Good selection of flavors, got the Belgian chocolate and did a side by side comparison with haagen dazs chocolate when I got home. The turkey hill was great and I was impressed, but the haagen dazs still blew it away, mostly because it has double the fat content, and chocolate flavor was better. But the main advantage was the turkey hill was $4/ 48oz while haagen dazs is like $4.50/ 14oz so the price point can't be beat. Early on in quarantine I saw sales on hagen dazs for $1.88 each when you buy 3, so stocked up and bought max allowed, but haven't seen it on sale since. I've had Tillamook, the flavors are a gimmick and can definitely tell it has stabilizers and shit it it by the mouthfeel and way it melts. That being said I wouldn't put turkey hill and haagen dazs in same category as the turkey hill isn't a "premium" brand, but it definitely beats every other brand that I've seen available in the half gallon size.
