When I was 12 years old, I would really like the taste of milk sometimes.
I drank a lot of milk as a kid, but would always drink it room temperature. I'd leave cups of it out to warm up and drink it later.
Come to realize many years later I liked milk cus it was beginning to spoil. I would forget it was out and drink it around an hour or two after I did.
As an adult now, I appreciate the taste of spoiled milk. I will often times let the milk gallon sit outside of the freezer before I make whatever requires it - boxed mac and cheese, oatmeal, etc.
Anyone else do weird shit as a kid that stuck? This might sound gross but I don't regret it. I can basically stomach anything and everything.

Sounds interesting, never thought to do that before. Are you sure an hour outside the fridge is long enough for it to really spoil?

If you can get raw milk it's safe to let it go unrefrigerated for a while. It's called clabbering.

I used to do this too. I'd drink milk left out over night, even day and a half and it was always fine to drink, even liked the slight tang to it. Thinking about it it's probably why I can always drink milk/shakes in the summer while everyone cries about cramps and feeling sick or I'd get told I will be sick drinking it in hot weather. Never had that problem.
