A friend got me Liquid Intelligence as a birthday gift. It's what got me into making cocktails.

But I'd say that Beachbum Berry's recipe books are more approachable if you're trying to get into tiki drinks. Smuggler's Cove relies heavily on fancy rums that are often expensive and hard to fine, along with tons of syrups that you have to make yourself based on the book's recipes if you want the drinks to turn out right.

Do you really need books to learn about making drinks?
It's always seemed pretty straightforward to me.
