I saw the fucking legendary 18 cup Bialetti on display at the local Italian grocery store, and I asked one of the clerks about it. Five minutes and a talk with the manager later, and it turns out it was only for "display purposes" and wasn't for sale. The biggest one they had in stock was the 6 cup. What the fuck is up with that? What marketing genius buys the most expensive model just to let it collect dust as an advertising gimmick?

i have a 2, 4, and 6 cup for serving myself and one or two other people. i grind beans coarser than espresso but finer than for my v60. an australian medium or dark roast is really good for it imo, not just bitter/sweet like the italian roasters make it. a little bit of acidity makes it taste way nicer with milk instead of cloying
i use it every day

Even better, if you want to be sure that the coffee stays as little as possible above the flame before the start of the infusion, boil the water in the chamber alone.
Putting boiling water in a cold aluminum container drops its temperature pretty drastically; bring it to a boil in the chamber alone, then screw the rest and set the stove on low to continue, coffee starts to exit the chimney in less then a minute
If you use light roasted beans this is the best way to have the water at the highest temperature possible without worrying about "burning" the coffee grounds
